Woolworths has extended its partnership with SuperPharmacy to provide customers access to the health and wellness space.

Under the partnership, Woolworths will acquire key technology and warehouse assets of SuperPharmacy in exchange for providing e-commerce services, related technology, branding, platform, and wholesale warehouse services under the new “HealthyLife Pharmacy” banner.

“Since launching HealthyLife last year, our goal has been to help Australians live healthier lives by providing trusted health advice and a curated range of health and wellness products,” said Ananth Sarathy, MD at HealthyLife.

The pharmacy has been a partner of Woolworths since last year under the Everyday Rewards program and as a third-party merchant on Woolworths’ subsidiary HealthyLife since August.

Providing Aussies with over-the-counter medicines and healthcare needs since 2020, the pharmacy has six brick-and-mortar stores located in NSW, Victoria, Queensland, SA and WA. It will continue to operate independently under the new brand name.

Under the rebranding, HealthyLife Pharmacy will offer consumers a wide range of pharmaceuticals, and prescription medicines, fulfilled via e-script and led by resident pharmacist Warren Turner; access to health advice from health professionals and services such as telehealth consultations and a range of complementary health programs; and a range of health, wellness, home and beauty products.

“This is a natural step for SuperPharmacy and HealthyLife,” added Warren Turner, proprietor at SuperPharmacy. “It will provide greater access, and the delivery of care as required by our customers seeking to obtain their health and wellness needs online.”

The transaction is subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
