The Smith’s Snackfood Company has recalled several of its products sold nationally due to potential contamination by a foreign matter.

The products are made in Australia and are recalled due to the “potential presence” of plastic pieces.

Products recalled are:

  • Cheese & Onion chips in 45g & 170g – sold across Woolworths, Coles and independent and convenience stores in NSW and Queensland.
  • Smith’s Original 6-pack – Woolworths, Coles and IGA stores in NSW, Queensland and Victoria and independent and convenience stores in NSW, Queensland, Victoria, SA and WA.
  • Smith’s Original (19g) included in the 20-pack Fun Mix – sold across Woolworths, Coles, IGA stores and independent retailers in NSW, ACT, Queensland, Victoria, WA, SA and NT.

The best-before-date markings of the affected products are:

  • Smith’s Cheese & Onion (45g & 170g): 17 SEP 23 (marked with DA), timestamp between 20:28 – 22:28.
  • Smith’s Original (6-pack and 19g) included in the 20 pack Fun Mix: Best Before 10 SEP 23

Consumers are advised not to eat the product and contact Smith’s Snackfood Company for a full refund.
