Tooheys’ Extra Dry Platinum beer makes a comeback

Tooheys' Extra Dry Platinum beer makes a comeback

Tooheys has resurrected its Extra Dry Platinum beer after almost a decade off shelves in response to “overwhelming” consumer demand.

One of the brand’s most well-known beers returns with a fresh look and a new can format.

Tooheys Extra Dry Platinum is described as a full-strength lager at an ABV of 6.5 per cent, with fruity, malty notes accompanying a mellow middle palate, with low bitterness for a clean finish.

Chris Allan, head of marketing – Core Beer at Lion Australia (maker of Tooheys), said that while low and no-alcohol beers are trending in Australia, higher-alcohol beers are also gaining popularity.

“After years of consumer demand, we’re thrilled to bring it back for the hardcore fans while introducing it to the next generation of drinkers with a black-on-black design,” said Allan.

“People are always looking for choice and variety when it comes to beer options, so whether it’s enjoying a few beers before a night out or having a great night in with mates, we’re excited about what we can offer fans – new and old.”

Tooheys Extra Dry Platinum is available at an RRP of $25.99 for a six-pack and $69.99 for a 24-pack at all major bottle shops in NSW.
