Solbevi is on a mission to revitalise Limoncello in the Australian market. The company launched just a little over seven months ago and has released a Limoncello Liqueur and a Limoncello Spritz in a can.
“Our goal was to bring Limoncello back to life as it has always existed but sat on the shelf quietly, only really purchased by Italians for an after-dinner shot. We wanted to revitalise Limoncello by targeting the Australian community,” said Stefan Di Benedetto, founder of Solbevi.
The company’s branding was designed to focus on the Italian coastline’s relaxing lifestyle, aiming to transport customers to the beach of Positano.
The Limoncello Liqueur is made for those who prefer to craft cocktails or even drink it over ice. It comes in 700ml bottles and has a 20 per cent ABV.
Meanwhile, the Limoncello Spritz balances sweet, tart, and fizz. It can be enjoyed straight from the can or as an easy mixer. It comes in 250ml cans and has an ABV of 4.2 per cent.
“For those who can’t travel overseas to Italy, this is their closest and next best thing,” Di Benedetto concluded.
Since its launch, the company has secured 335 venues nationwide, including Dan Murphys, Vintage Cellars, independent bottle shops, and on-premise venues across VIC, SA, NSW, QLD, and WA.
Solbevi Limoncello Liqueur is available for an RRP of $50 per bottle, while the Limoncello Sprits at an RRP of $24 for a four-pack
