Poseidon Animal Health enters the US market with equine range

Poseidon Animal Health enters the US market with equine range

Poseidon Animal Health has expanded its footprint in the equine healthcare industry in the US market.

The company says it has recently commenced manufacturing, distribution, sales, customer service, and veterinary expert support for its equine products in the country.

Founded in 2017 by Peter Lord and Linda Goldspink-Lord, Poseidon Animal Health specialises in manufacturing animal digestive health supplements for dogs and horses. The business expanded into New Zealand in 2019 and is currently exporting to the UAE, Europe and Asia.

Global CEO Peter Lord said the US has always been part of the company’s long-term growth strategy.

“The US equine industry contributes $186.2 billion (US$122 billion) to the US economy, and the market is 10 times the size of Australia and New Zealand combined, totalling over 7 million horses,” he continued.

The brand is known for its unique IP and evidence-based equine product range that is recommended by veterinarians, horse breeders, equine professionals, and retailers.

Currently, these products are stocked in more than 400 retailers across Australia and New Zealand.

“We see the opportunity to mirror our success in the USA where we know consumer demand is high due to the volume of enquiries and product requests from US customers we already receive,” Lord concluded.
