Two New Zealand FMCG businesses have been recognised in the 2024 Foodstuffs Emerging Supplier competition, Foodstuffs Emerge.
Fuller Faster Oats won the start-up category, while The Lucky Taco triumphed in the small supplier category.
The two companies will each get a $70,000 prize package that includes customised in-store activations, supply chain coaching, strategic workshops, and sustainability consulting to help them build their business and expand their product offerings in New World stores around New Zealand.
Fuller Faster Oats makes quick and easy overnight oats, while The Lucky Taco offers authentic Mexican salsas and marinades.
“New Zealand’s supplier community is full of brilliant, forward-thinkers who often don’t have the support or the funding to fully realise their ideas,” said Chris Quin, CEO of Foodstuffs North Island.
“Emerge is about giving them a platform to pitch their biggest, boldest ideas, which can be properly developed and brought to our customers.”
The two winners will soon expand their operations and offer their products on supermarket shelves.
