Scotch whisky brand Johnnie Walker is adding a new premium variety to its Australian portfolio, Johnnie Walker Black Ruby.
According to the brand, the product is created by its blender Emma Walker and combines fruit-forward malt from maturation in ex-wine, ex-PX Oloroso, and ex-bourbon casks, as well as smooth caramel malts from Roseisle. The product is recommended for creating cocktails.
“Embracing the boldness of the night and the richness of ripe fruits, Black Ruby stands as the sweetest pour in Johnnie Walker’s illustrious history,” said global Johnnie Walker brand ambassador, Tim Philips-Johansson.
“With each sip, revel in the harmonious fusion of baked dark fruit nuance, meticulously curated to deliver an unparalleled sensory experience. It truly is the ultimate expression for the edge of the night.”
The 40 per cent ABV beverage can be purchased at retailers including First Choice, Liquor Land, Dan Murphy’s (starting mid-July), and independent liquor stores across Australia for $80.
