Spirits company Diageo has shaken up its Australian C-suite team to support the business’s long-term growth strategy.
Nicole Dennis has been named commercial director, and Jodi McLeod has been appointed to the newly created role of head of Premix Growth, Drinks Trade reported.
Dennis has ten years of experience at Diageo, serving in many key roles in the Australian commercial team across both on- and off-premise channels. She has already taken up the role of commercial director of Diageo Australia since returning three months ago.
A Diageo spokesperson said Dennis was the “standout candidate” and will bring to the role a “deep understanding of both Diageo’s business and the Australian market landscape”.
McLeod started her marketing manager role at Diageo Australia in 2015, including the past two years as marketing manager of Bundaberg Rum and Johnnie Walker. The company describes McLeod as “an experienced and high-performing marketer”, who has overseen some of its iconic brands over the past 10 years.
McLeod will lead the new Premix Growth division to grow the firm’s premix portfolio. Two Commercial Excellence teams dedicated to bottled spirits and premix/RTD were also created.
The reshuffle will also see Lisa McElduff returning as Diageo Australia’s finance director in September after spending time in the same role for Diageo Great Britain. Mark Harvie will move to a new role within the company.
