Sydney-based food delivery service, Workout Meals, has launched a range of ready-made meals designed specifically for air fryers, as the popular appliance becomes a fixture in Australian homes.

The company claims it is the first in the world to specialise in meals designed to be cooked in air fryers.

The range has 12 meal options that can be cooked directly in an air fryer in under 15 minutes. Each dish is packed in heat-safe, eco-friendly sugarcane packaging and is high in protein and low in fat. Four more are under development.

The meals are cooked to order fresh without frozen ingredients and are sold individually, in meal packs, or by subscription plan online.

“Air fryers are all about convenience, and so are our meals. It made sense to adapt our recipes to create something unique,” said Tomi Jurlina, co-founder of Workout Meals.

According to the brand, since launching the new line six weeks ago, the company has seen sales triple, marking the most successful product launch in its history.

“We’ve never experienced a reaction like this,” Jurlina said. “The Southern Fried Chicken and Chicken Parmigiana meals have been especially popular. The air fryer brings out a crispiness that really enhances the taste and texture.”

Figures from the Food Safety Information Council show two-thirds of Australian households own an air fryer and 54 per cent of owners use it weekly, 38 per cent several times a week.

“We know Australians are using air fryers more than ever, so seeing ready-made meals tailored specifically for them is a smart development,” said accredited sports nutritionist Robbie Frame.

Workout Meals, founded in 2012 by two fitness enthusiasts, now offers over 50 meals that can be tailored to specific health and fitness goals. The company delivers fresh meals to more than 3000 locations across Australia.
