Functional food and beverage brand My Muscle Chef (MYMC) is extending its portfolio by adding salads range, plant-based smoothies and Roasted Fava Beans to its high protein and ready-made categories.

Founded in 2013 by two brothers who seek quality nutrition for their workouts, My Muscle Chef has focused on providing healthy and fresh ready-made meals, drinks and snacks across Australia.

The salad range features six variants, containing 25g of protein and is sourced from local ingredients. According to the brand, the salads are packaged with separate dressing sachets to ensure freshness and flavour.

MYMC also released the Plant-based Smoothies, which are available in three flavours – Mixed Berry, Choc Hazelnut, and Banana Super Greens. The smoothies are made with almond milk, containing 20g of plant-based protein and prebiotics to help strengthen the gut and support immunity.

“The plant-based movement is ever increasing and we know people are looking to introduce more plant-based options into their day,” said Ryan Pinto, innovation and nutrition lead of MYMC.

“Research suggests 22 per cent of Australian consumers are looking to reduce their meat consumption in the next 12 months. This is why we’ve heroed plants by releasing high protein salads, plant-based snacks and smoothies.”

At the same time, MYMC also launched the new low sugar and low-calorie Fava Beans range, which is available in three flavours – Salt & Vinegar, Lightly Salted and Italian Style Tomato. The snack is free from nuts and dairy, having no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

The MYMC Salads, Plant-Based Smoothies and Fava Beans can be bought in selected retail stores or online and the MYMC App, which is available from the App Store and Google Play.
