David Inall has been named as the new CEO of the Australian Chicken Growers’ Council (ACGC) as the organisation adapts to upcoming industry challenges and opportunities.

“David’s proven track record will be invaluable as we advocate for our members,” said Owen Shaw, ACGC chairman.

Inall, who will spearhead the ACGC’s strategy to promote sustainable growth and employment for local chicken farmers, will draw on over 30 years of leadership experience across the agricultural and grocery sectors at Australian organisations and companies – including NSW Dairy Farmers’ Association, MLA, Master Grocers Australia, Cattle Council, and United Egg Producers.

“I am thrilled to join an industry that at the farm gate is valued at $3.9 billion, supports nearly 60,000 Australian jobs and comprises more than 700 Australian farms dedicated to growing meat chickens,” said Inall.

Founded in the early 1980s, the council represents chicken and turkey growers on a range of industry issues at a national level, working with state and national government departments and authorities, local government bodies and agencies, and farming organisations, including the National Farmers’ Federation.
