Pure Sports Nutrition has expanded its Performance+ range with the launch of Race Recovery, designed for endurance athletes.

The New Zealand-based company claims the new product is formulated to support complete recovery after intense training or competition. Each serving contains 29g of protein and 52g of carbohydrates.

“The carbohydrate-to-protein ratio is intentionally designed to maximise uptake within the critical post-exercise window of 30 to 60 minutes, where fuelling recovery can influence training outcomes,” explains Marewa Sutherland, co-founder and sports nutritionist.

Sutherland said every ingredient has been selected to serve a specific purpose.

“From restoring carbohydrate and fluid balance to supporting gut health and mitochondrial function,” she continued. “This formula targets recovery on multiple levels, helping athletes grow stronger, adapt faster and perform better”.

Established in 2012, Pure Sports Nutrition is known for its energy gels, electrolyte hydration powders and functional foods.

Race Recovery is available in select retailers including Aidstation; Active Health Clinic; Sole Motive Mr Vitamins; Nutrition Warehouse. WholeLife Pharmacy; and Healthfoods Pace Athletic for an RRP of $11.99 for single serves and $79.99 for multi-packs.
