Bega Group’s earnings grew 22 per cent in FY26, as stronger demand for its branded dairy products helped boost revenue.
The dairy giant’s sales for the year ended June 30 rose 6.7 per cent to $3.77 billion, while EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) increased to $202.3 million from $165.5 million a year earlier.
At the same time, its branded business recorded sales of $220.7 million, up 8 per cent, driven by higher demand for yoghurt, milk-based drinks and white milk. Bega added that sales of its high-protein and ‘better for you’ products also increased.
International revenue rose 12 per cent, while savings from the company’s exit from primary peanut processing further supported earnings.
Looking ahead, Bega says it has updated its strategy through FY31 and is targeting earnings of more than $310 million by then.
The company also completed the automation of its largest warehouse in Laverton and consolidated cheese packaging and processing at its Ridge Street site. Both projects are expected to deliver cost savings in FY27.
