Bega Group is shaking up the dairy aisle with a wave of new yoghurt products under its Farmers Union, Yoplait, and Dairy Farmers brands.
Farmers Union has entered the high-protein space with the release of Farmers Union Protein Yogurt. According to the brand, it offers up to 16 grams of dairy protein per serve, includes all nine essential amino acids. The range is available in multiple formats of pouches, pots and tubs.
At the same time, Yoplait is targeting households that find traditional Greek yoghurt too tart. Its latest product, Yoplait Natural, is made with four ingredients, contains 11 grams of protein per serve, and aims to deliver a mild flavour profile designed for everyday use from cooking and baking to snacking.
Dairy Farmers is leaning into the growing “stay-in” lifestyle trend among younger Australians with two new indulgent additions to its Thick & Creamy range: Murray River Salted Caramel and Chocolate Flakes.
The launch is backed by new research commissioned by Dairy Farmers, which found that two in three young Australians now prefer a night in over going out, with sweet comfort foods topping their list of self-care rituals.
“We’re seeing a strong preference for staying in, prioritising comfort and carving out time for self-care. It’s a shift driven by ritual and the joy of small indulgences,” said Tegan Froud, senior brand manager of Dairy Farmers Thick & Creamy.
The launches cater to growing consumer demand for high-protein nutrition, versatile staples, and indulgent treats. The Farmers Union and Dairy Farmers ranges are available at Woolworths. On September 8, the three brands can be found at Coles nationwide.
