Ampol has opened its redeveloped Foodary Eastern Creek service centres on Sydney’s M4 Motorway, strengthening its highway retail and food offer on one of the country’s highest-traffic commuter corridors.

The dual Eastbound and Westbound sites bring together Ampol Foodary convenience stores with a line-up of national QSR brands, including Hungry Jack’s, Oporto, Boost Juice and Soul Origin. The Eastern Creek opening marks Soul Origin’s first entry into an Ampol service centre.

“The incredible dual redevelopments of Ampol Foodary Eastern Creek are the next step in our investment in premium highway service centres and follow the recent revitalisations of our M1 Wyong and Pheasant Nest sites,” said Ampol executive GM, retail Australia, Kate Thomson.

Both sites include indoor and outdoor dining, a children’s play area and enclosed off-leash dog parks, reflecting the growing role of service centres as destination retail rather than simple refuelling stops.

Electric vehicle charging has also been expanded, with 10 AmpCharge bays installed at each location. The Westbound site also features two 400kW fast chargers, among the fastest currently available in Australia.

Located in Sydney’s west, the M4 corridor carries more than 300,000 vehicles daily, positioning Eastern Creek as a key site for commuter, freight and long-haul traffic.

Last year, Ampol agreed to acquire EG Group’s service station network in Australia for a headline price of $1.1 billion.
