Tempo Group has acquired the IP and brands of Spring Gully Foods, including Spring Gully, Gardener, Leabrook Farms, and Ozemite, following the company’s second entry into administration last month.
The move preserves one of Australia’s most recognisable heritage food brands and secures its future on supermarket shelves.
Founded in 1946, Spring Gully Foods has been a familiar name in Australian kitchens for 80 years, known for its locally made pickles, sauces, relishes, and condiments.
Under Tempo’s stewardship, the brand will continue producing the products consumers know and love, while embracing innovation and long-term growth.
Tempo executive director Nicholas Stergiotis said the acquisition underscores the group’s commitment to supporting local manufacturing and protecting iconic Australian brands.
“This acquisition also strengthens our presence in the shelf-stable and pantry goods sector, aligning with our broader strategy to grow our multi-brand and private label business,” Stergiotis said.
The acquisition follows a series of strategic expansions by Tempo, which has previously added Brunswick, Paramount, Nourish Foods, and Organic Choice to its portfolio.
