Leos Imports and Distributors’ Sapori Soft Amaretti Biscuits 175g are being recalled due to the presence of biotoxin – higher than usual levels of naturally occurring hydrocyanic acid.
The product has been available for sale in independent retail outlets in NSW, Victoria, Queensland, ACT and Tasmania, and online in NSW and Victoria.
Affected products have date markings of:
- Best Before 02/05/26 & 25/08/26.
According to Food Standards Australia and New Zealand, food products containing biotoxins could cause illness and injury if consumed.
Consumers have been advised to return packages to the place of purchase for a refund.
