Honey Australia, a family-owned Australian company, has finalised a national rollout across Fresh Market stores in the US.
With nearly 200 outlets in Texas, the expansion follows a period of engagement with US buyers and a formal product review process.
Supported by NSW Investment and Austrade through the Fine Food Australia and Expo West USA programs, the entry into the retail sector helped the business connect with North American distributors.
Central to the deal was the development of the ‘New Buzz’ range, a Vitamin C-infused honey produced in collaboration with Australian beekeepers, which aligned with the retailer’s focus on premium, better-for-you inventory.
“The Fresh Market launch is a significant milestone in our US expansion strategy,” said Nicholas Maiolo, director of Honey Australia. “It establishes a meaningful presence in specialty retail and is expected to substantially increase our export volumes to the US as we continue to build brand awareness and distribution.”
According to the company, the partnership positions the brand for long-term scale within the region and serves as ‘the beginning of a broader US growth strategy’.
