Suntory Global Spirits has launched its Minus 196 Lemon & Passionfruit, marking the first time the brand has combined two fruit flavours in the local market.

The expansion follows a period of high-profile brand activity, including a sponsorship of the Laneway Music Festival and ‘Konbini’ pop-up bars in Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast.

The Lemon & Passionfruit flavour joins the existing Australian lineup, which offers Double Lemon, Double Peach, and Double Grape.

The new product is available in four-pack and 10-pack formats and is sold nationwide at major liquor retailers.

“Minus 196 is a distinct product because of the Japanese ingenuity behind it, and we’re excited to launch our first combination flavour. With the addition of Lemon & Passionfruit, we’re redefining what real fruit-forward refreshments should taste like,” said Johnny Morgan at Suntory.

Last year, Suntory Minus 196 launched its lemon vodka in Australia.
