The Hershey Company US chief Andrew Archambault will leave the company in May to pursue other endeavors.
Archambault joined Hershey in February last year to lead its confectionery division and was promoted just last month to oversee the company’s full US portfolio as president.
His departure comes after Hershey appointed Kirk Tanner as chief executive, following the planned retirement of former CEO Michele Buck.
Tanner, formerly of Wendy’s and PepsiCo, became CEO in August last year.
“CEO Kirk Tanner; Tiffany Menyhart; and Nate Champagne will work closely with the broader leadership team to ensure continuity across the US business,” a company spokesperson told Food Dive.
Hershey said it has begun the search for a replacement.
