Lactalis Australia has appointed David Breckenridge as CEO, effective November 1.
The appointment follows ongoing integration of Lactalis Australia and Lactalis-Mainland Dairy Australia after the group acquired Fonterra’s mainland group.
Alban Damour, GM of Lactalis’ Asia Oceania Africa Zone, said the appointment reflects their confidence in the Australian market.
“Bringing our Australian businesses together under one leadership structure creates a stronger, more aligned business with the scale and capability to deliver long-term sustainable growth,” said Damour.
He described Breckenridge as bringing deep industry experience, strong relationships and a proven leadership track record.
“He is well placed to lead the business through its next phase,” he added.
Breckenridge said he would focus on uniting the businesses’ capabilities and identifying new opportunities.
“We have exceptional brands, talented people and strong customer partnerships that provide a strong foundation for future growth,” he said.
Current Lactalis Australia CEO Mal Carseldine will remain with the business until the end of the year to support the transition.
