Global dairy giant Yili has achieved record profits across its New Zealand businesses following an organisational overhaul.
After bringing its Westland Milk, Oceania Dairy, Canary, Pure Nutrition, and Easi Yo businesses under the Yili Oceania banner, the group which has delivered $1.29 billion (NZ$1.58 billion) in revenue across 2025.
This 14 per cent increase year-on-year led to $48.1 million in profits, a record in the region for Yili.
“Overall, the business has now evolved from a scale-driven model to one focused on quality, efficiency, and value creation,” executive director of Yili Oceania, Zhiqiang Li, said.
“By accelerating the shift towards value-added products, we achieved record-high revenue and profit, while also making tangible progress in capacity expansion, operational efficiency, and global channel development.”
Li said the New Zealand businesses are now in “sound shape” and ready to support the country’s dairy industry on a global scale.
“Over the past decade of investment in New Zealand, we have worked hard to build fair, transparent, and sustainable relationships, ensuring that value is shared equitably across the entire supply chain,” Li added.
“We will continue to deepen these partnerships, strengthen the foundations of trust, and work with our partners to enhance the competitiveness of the industry in our region.”
