Bega launches plant-based cheese range

Bega Group has rolled out a plant-based Cheddar Cheese Style range, expanding its portfolio offering beyond dairy.

The range is available in shredded and sliced formats and will suit those seeking a plant-based or dairy-free option.

Matt Gray, GM of marketing at Bega Foods, said the launch of Bega’s plant-based alt-cheese is “an important evolution to ensure the group is positioned to take advantage of the growing plant-based segment”.

Niamh Farrell, Bega’s plant-based cheese marketing manager, said the range has undergone “sensory testing” to create a smooth, creamy, cheese-style product.

The Bega plant-based Cheddar Cheese Style is now available at Coles and will go on shelf at independent stores from July.
