Footy fans will soon be able to buy pies cheaper at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Melbourne Cricket Club CEO, Stephen Gough, says it will cost the MCC $14 million over seven years but a new deal with its food provider will allow food and drink prices to fall from April 1.
“The new prices will be, in some cases, what fans paid a decade ago,” Gough said.
The cost of a pie under the new pricing system will fall from $4.80 to $4.
A can of soft drink will fall from $5 to $4.
