Clean Seas appoints GM

Clean-Seas-LogoClean Seas Tuna has appointed Miles Toomey to the newly created role of GM – global sales and marketing.

Clean Seas Tuna said the appointment of Toomey aligns with its sales development strategy and was the result of a wide ranging search, eliciting strong interest from proven experience professionals in the FMCG industry.

Toomey has extensive experience in sales, trade marketing, brand marketing, category management, and general management in seafood and consumer product business.

Following 13 years with Unilever Australia, Toomey has held a range of senior positions in the Australian seafood industry for the last decade. This includes senior marketing roles with Sealord Australia, Seafarm/Crystal Bay Prawns, and Seafood CRC.

Toomey was responsible for implementing the Lovee Australian Prawns campaign as a consultant to a number of AUstralian seafood producers.

Toomey will begin on May 4 and will be responsible for Clean Seas’ global sales and marketing activities with particular focus on further expanding sales of Hiramasa Kingfish in Australia, Europe, North America, and Asia.
