Haigh’s marks 100

rsz_hiaghsAustralia’s oldest family-owned chocolate maker, Haigh’s Chocolates, has launched a special collaboration with Australia’s oldest family-owned winery, Yalumba; and Australia’s oldest family-owned brewery, Cooper’s; as part of its centenary celebrations.

‘The Collaboration’, a handmade box of chocolates developed over a 12 month period, contains a selection of three offerings including a 70 per cent dark chocolate truffle, made from a blend of three chocolates and decorated with a gold fleck; Antique Tawny Fig Liquer, consisting of Australian figs steeped in Yalumba Antique Tawny; and the Stout Ganache, whose centre is flavoured with Coopers’ Stout.

“We thought it was fitting to launch this special project during our centenary year- a milestone we now share with both companies, the new truffle is in fact also our Centenary chocolate and this is its first release” said Alister Haigh, CEO of Haigh’s Chocolates.

The Collaboration will be available to purchase from Tuesday, August 18 at Haigh’s Chocolates stores in Adelaide, Sydney, and Melbourne, and online at www.haighschocolates.com.
