Woolworths has announced that 11 of its Queensland stores in Brisbane, Redland and Springfield will now stock the Mater maternity and baby care range.
Developed locally in South East Queensland in consultation with mothers and midwives, the range includes baby moisturiser, baby wash, nappy balm, and body balm for pregnancy.
Shane Kelly, CEO, Mater, says the expansion of distribution markets signifies a coup for the company who prides itself on developing high calibre, ethically sourced products- the same of which are used in the Mater Mothers’ hospitals:
“The opportunity to have Mater products available in selected Woolworths supermarkets is reflective of the high quality of the product range developed by Mater midwives and mums. Even more Queensland families can now experience Mater’s exceptional care in their homes, through the award winning Mater products.”
Tracey Worrall, local sourcing manager-Qld, Woolworths, says that company is excited to stock the local product line which is a familiar brand among new mothers.
“We’re thrilled that selected Woolworths stores will now stock Mater Mothers’ maternity and baby care products. It’s a range that local mums know and trust for their family, and they can now pick it up when they shop in a local Woolies Supermarket”.
Proceeds from the Mater maternity and baby care product range will go towards Mater Little Miracles to help fund specialist care, and research projects.
