McCain Foods introduces its frozen meal range featuring 50 per cent more protein than regular Healthy Choice meals.
The range launches with four product varieties, all featuring Australian chicken breast, a full serve of vegetables and no preservatives alongside on-trend ingredients like quinoa, chia, coconut and lemongrass.
McCain foods head of marketing for retail Katrina Wilson, said the new range delivers on the delicious, nutritionally balanced meals consumers trust from the Healthy Choice range, but takes it one step further.
“We know consumers are looking for ways to incorporate more protein and vegetables into their diets, without increasing their calorie intake,” Wilson said.
“Healthy Choice Protein Plus is an exciting and convenient solution to this and a game changer in the frozen meals category and, is another example of McCain Foods’ commitment to healthy, innovative products.
“We’ve worked with our in-house chef and consulting nutritionists to combine the likes of brown and wild rice, quinoa, kidney beans and chia with deliciously full flavoured sauces, plenty of vegetables and 100 per cent Australian chicken breast to deliver these nutrient rich meals.”
The Protein Plus range launches with four new flavours including Thai coconut and lemongrass chicken, smokey paprika chicken, chicken satay and Italian baked chicken.
McCain Healthy Choice Protein Plus is available in the freezer aisle of selected Coles, Woolworths and IGA stores nationally. The 360g individual meal.
