Gaytime partnered with Topshop Topman to open a pop up ice cream shop as Australia Day rolls by.
It will be held at the Gowings store in Sydney on Wednesday, 18th January and at the Emporium store in Melbourne on Friday 20th January for a limited time.
“Australian’s love [ice cream] and following on from the hugely popular Gaytime Tubs and recent love child that was Gaynetto, we have been inundated with letters, petitions, calls, emails and social media requests for more Gaytimes,” said Hilton Seskin, chairman of Topshop Topman.
Seskin said Aussies can devour limited edition Gaytime flavours they have been working on as they partnered with the ice cream company.
“The retail journey at Topshop Topman is not only about the products we are selling but our in-store customer experience. We are incredibly excited about the collaboration with [the ice cream company] and to offer our customers a fun shopping experience. As one of Australia’s most well known and loved treats, we couldn’t think of a better summer partnership,” he further added.
Jesse James McElroy, long-time Golden Chief and new Gaytime Crumbassador said he’s looking forward to becoming “a part of the continuing evolution of everyone’s beloved [ice cream brand]. One of life’s greatest gifts is the crumb and I’ve always been an avid believer in the old saying everything tastes better crumbed, so this pop up really is a dream come true for Gaytimers.”
In a tribute to the iconic crumb, the Crumb Shed will sell five delectable crumb creations, all handmade to order with classic Gaytime ice cream and chocolate by crumb technicians for $6 each. Bespoke Gaytimes on offer will include:
• Unicorn Breath – vanilla crumb, musk sticks, strawberry hard candy, popping candy, edible glitter
• Crumb Choc Millionaire – chocolate crumb, smashed potato crisps, desiccated coconut, 100s & 1000s, edible glitter
• Chocopalooza – chocolate crumb, lolly bananas, 100s & 1000s
• Golden Chief’s Salty Gaytime – vanilla crumb, pretzel bits, salted caramel drizzle (by Gaytime ‘Crumbassador’, Jesse James McElroy)
• The OG-G – with even more vanilla crumb (the original and the best handcrafted to perfection)
