Byron Bay Cookie joins Melbourne coffee expo

Byron Bay Cookie 3Byron Bay Cookie Company has collaborated with Zest Specialty Coffee Roasters for the upcoming Melbourne International Coffee Expo from 30 March – 1 April.

Coffee and cookie lovers will witness the exclusive Coffee and Cookie Pairing Challenge, wherein Aussies can match selected cookie flavours with Zest’s specialty blends.

They’ll base it on the shared ‘flavour character’ that is the common denominator for both products.

Also available exclusively at the expo will be a specially crafted coffee infused cookie made using brewed espresso and coffee beans from one of Zest’s exclusive ‘micro-lots’, a delicious and distinctive coffee from the farm ‘Agropecuaria El Triunfo’ in Nicaragua.

“We’re really excited to partner with such a highly regarded coffee roaster. Coffee and cookies often go hand in hand and we wanted to explore this a bit further in a creative way,” said Byron Bay Cookie Company marketing manager, Emilie Emond.

The cookie company’s latest creation, the Rosella Lamington Cookie, will also be available at the event. Developed by celebrated chef Christine Manfield, the newly released cookie flavour combine the crunchy coconut and fragrant rosella jelly in a rich cocoa base. It will be available to the cafe market just in time for Easter and Mother’s Day.
