Herman Brot launches breakfast range

Herman BrotAustralia’s Herman Brot released its new breakfast cereal range, Herman Brot Protein Muesli, this week.

They created three different flavours of Peanut Candy, Red Fruits and Chocolate.

“In a market where most breakfast cereals have minimal nutritional value, are often full of hidden sugars and promoted to consumers as healthy (using creative and gimmicky marketing techniques); we are proud to once again be launching a staple food with no artificial colours or preservatives and products that have macros that are very hard to compete with,” said Christian Coenen, general manager at Herman Brot.

“With incredible high protein, low carb and low GI figures – the muesli is suitable for people with Type II diabetes, health & fitness professionals and people wanting to lose weight. Created using plant protein, the products are also perfect for vegans and vegetarians.”

Each product has a good amount of plant protein in each serving.  Peanut Candy = 21.2g/45g serve (47% protein); Red Fruits = 19.8g/45g serve (44% protein) and Chocolate = 19.9g/45g serve (44% protein).

The release of the three flavours of Herman Brot Muesli are added to the existing product range, Herman Brot Lower Carb Bread and Herman Brot Lower Carb Pasta. Aussies can now choose from five different ranges.

Herman Brot recognised that although there continues to be a lot of very confusing information regarding diets, a large percentage of consumers are getting smarter, doing more research and switching to diets that are much healthier.

“’Intelligent Eating’ is what it’s all about. Real foods that fuel the body, can assist with weight loss, can control blood sugars and will keep you full, are what consumers are looking for. We have created staple foods that can be eaten for breakfast, lunch and dinner and when it comes to nutritional values, all of our products have minimal competitors in a very saturated market,” said Coenen.

Herman Brot Protein Muesli is available in select independent supermarkets and health food stores in SE QLD from today and will roll out into wider QLD, NSW, VIC and SA over the next couple of weeks.  It will also be available online from the HB Direct store from early May. All products will also be available to sample and purchase at the upcoming Health & Fitness Expo being held in Sydney from 28-30 April.
