Ranged in over 600 Woolworths nationwide, coffee lovers can expect a pure, smooth-tasting Colombian Single Origin with intense notes of rich chocolate and hazelnut.
“By using a cold brew method and avoiding exposure to intense heat, cold brew has a much lower bitterness and acidity (than coffee typically prepared via an espresso machine) making it perfect to enjoy cold. Grinders Cold Brew is best served straight up, over ice or, for a creamier taste, with a dash of milk – whether it be regular, almond, coconut or soy,” according to Andy Easthope, Grinders’ head coffee educator.
Cold brew isn’t simply cold drip. The beans are roasted and ground like a typical coffee but instead of using heat to extract the beans and flavour the same as with an espresso or other hot coffee brew, Grinders uses time – eight hours – and filtered water.
“It’s a gentle extraction,” explained Easthope. “It brings out different flavours and unique notes and it really does remove most of the acidity. And there are no added preservatives – just 100 per cent coffee extract and purified water.”
It is made from 100 per cent Colombian Single Origin coffee with no added sugar or preservatives. Grinders Cold Brew has a 12-month shelf life and can be kept refrigerated for seven days once opened. Grinders Cold Brew sells at RRP $8.99 per 300ml bottle. It contains six 50ml serves per bottle.
