Jasper + Myrtle extends chocolate product recall

Jasper + MyrtleJasper + Myrtle Chocolates has extended their recall to all their dark chocolates not advising “this may contain traces of milk, tree nuts, sesame and seaweed” on their packaging.

NSW Food Authority said in a statement yesterday the products were available from David Jones and independent stores in NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC, SA, and WA. The recall is due to the presence of an undeclared milk (casein) allergen.

Product details:

  • Jasper + Myrtle bean to bar handmade dark chocolate PNG 66%, PNG 80%, Peru 66%, Nunu Black Opal, Wakame & Rock Salt, Spice Rum, Espresso, Brandy and Orange, Ginger and Coconut
  • Cardboard box, 70G
  • All best before dates

Consumers with a milk (casein) allergy or intolerance should not consume this product and should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. For those concerned about their health, they should seek medical advice.
