OTR appoints first CEO

OTRSouth Australian convenience retail chain OTR has appointed Warren Wilmot as its first CEO. OTR is the state’s leading convenience retailer with 145 petrol and convenience stores across metropolitan and regional areas.

Wilmot, an experienced retail executive, was most recently chief of the 7-Eleven group in Australia, a title he held for 13 years. Prior to this he spent more than 10 years in various management roles at the Pizza Hut Group.

“It’s a privilege to join such a strong and innovative company with a proud South Australian history of investment and providing employment to the community,” Wilmot said.

“I look forward to building on this success with the broader OTR team and making life easier for customers by providing high quality service, food offers and convenience, together with new levels of innovation and ways to engage with our brand,” he added.

OTR is part of the South Australian-owned Peregrine Corporation, the state’s largest private employer, with over 4,000 employees.

Peregrine’s Executive Chairman Yasser Shahin said:

“OTR has grown significantly over the past 20 years and the timing is right to appoint a leader and executive team dedicated specifically to OTR’s expanding operations.”

“Warren brings the perfect mix of experience and enthusiasm to help us take the business to another level”, he said.

Shahin will remain as Executive Chairman of Peregrine Corporation and focus on OTR’s growth and development program, together with Peregrine’s Wholesale Fuel and Construction divisions.
