Australian confectionery company Darrell Lea has partnered with cafe franchise Muffin Break to breathe new life into classic Aussie dessert, the lamington.
The “Lamington Rough” is a new twist on the old recipe, with the traditionally small, square cake transformed into a sponge muffin, coated in an outer layer of chocolate sauce and rolled in desiccated coconut, with a Darrell Lea Coconut Rough at its centre.
The new concept is also available as a limited-edition Lamington Hero Duffin, a mix of donut, muffin and lamington, with the crunch of a Darrell Lea Coconut Rough.
