Mars companyConfectionery giant Mars has been named in Fortune Magazine’s 100 Best Companies to Work For, for the seventh year in a row.

This year, the global food maker ranked #98 on the list based on survey of more than 4.3 million employees, who rated workplace culture on more than 60 elements.

The list by Great Place to Work shows the companies with the most talent retention and those that demonstrate higher levels of productivity than rival businesses.

“We’re honored to once again be recognised and want to thank each and every one of our associates for helping us get here! Whether it’s our unique approach to business or our strong, principles-led culture, this award is a celebration of our associates’ success and dedication,” said Mars in a statement.

Wegman’s Food Market ranked 3rd in the 100 Best Companies to Work For. The family-owned grocery chain spends over $50 million a year on training and development for its employees and this year, it awarded $5 million in tuition assistance.

Another family owned grocery, Nugget Market, made it to 81. The company has never made layoffs in its 93-year history. Last year, Nugget Market spent $1.4 million on employee development, including pasta-making and wine-pairing classes. CEO Eric Stille offers $1,000 to employees annually who quit smoking for a full year.
