Mars New Zealand has reintroduced its Pods product line to retail shelves nationwide, coinciding with World Chocolate Day.
The product return follows a multi-year hiatus and sustained consumer campaigns requesting the snack’s availability.
The relaunch includes three traditional flavour variants: Snickers, Mars, and Twix, and the product lineup is available in 160-gram packaging.
Each variant features a crispy baked wafer shell filled with a soft centre, such as Snickers filling, Mars caramel, or Twix caramel, and topped with milk chocolate.
Mars New Zealand is distributing the product line.
“Pods fans have been very patient … and very vocal,” said Shane Hammond, country director at Mars New Zealand. “At this point, bringing them back felt less like a decision, and more like answering a national call to action.
“We’re delighted to reunite New Zealanders with Pods and finally restore balance to snack bowls across the country.”
The 160gm packs are available at supermarkets, local dairies, service stations, and movie theatres.
In May, the company reduced packaging by 10 per cent for its Pringles Minis line, aligning with the company’s broader commitment to material efficiency and reducing plastic waste.
