Fanta embraces TikTok as part of Halloween campaign

Soft drinks brand Fanta is utilising the increasingly popular video app Tik-Tok for its Halloween marketing campaign which has been created and produced entirely in Australia for the first time in more than a decade.

Popular influencers on Tik-Tok will share teaser videos of the soft drink’s ‘Cauldron Challenge’, urging Aussies to unleash their creativity with Halloween costumes and share them on the platform.

The TVC with the tagline ‘Bold choice. Bold taste’ has been produced by Ogilvy. It features partygoers at a Halloween party making ‘bold’ choices with their costumes. The new campaign is across TV, online video and social media until early November.

“It is a hugely exciting few months for FANTA in Australia with our bold new Halloween campaign which we have created right here in Australia rolling out at the same time as our fun new twist bottle,” Fanta brand manager, Oscar Gonzalez, said.

“Our brand is increasingly looking for ways to better engage with our consumers, and through Fanta Halloween we are confident we are tapping into a moment of cultural relevance that resonates with a key target market.”

Fanta is also unveiling its new twist bottle in 1.25 and 2 litre sizes. The design is set to roll out across the rest of the range by the end of 2020.
