Carlton Dry crooners release Christmas song in celebration of beer

Carlton Dry is getting into the festive spirit with the release of its very own comedic Christmas song, to celebrate its beloved beer.

The Carlton Dry Christmas Orchestra recorded a tongue-in-cheek take on a Christmas classic that acknowledges the role beer can play over the festive period.

Titled, ‘The most wonderful time for a beer’, the song laments the traffic chaos, family arguments and the endless repetition of Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’, that the silly season so often brings.

Carlton Dry have even made it their mission to knock Mariah off the top spot in the Australian Spotify streaming charts the week before Christmas.

“We know there are plenty of Aussies out there who aren’t terribly stoked about Christmas and are getting a touch over listening to the same songs about a ‘perfect’ Christmas every year,” Carlton Dry associate director Hayden Turner said.

“This song is for them. And in the spirit of some healthy Christmas competition, we’ve made it our only Christmas wish to dismantle Queen Mariah’s throne, even just for one day.”
