Beverage giant Lion NZ has signed a distribution agreement with premium Kiwi cider brand, Zeffer, in a bid to meet demand in the growing category.
Manufactured at Hawke’s Bay Cidery and Orchard, Zeffer’s hand-crafted ciders, including Crisp Apple and Rosé, will join the Lion NZ drinks portfolio on March 2, 2020.
“Both the cider category, and Zeffer, are experiencing huge growth and we’re looking to invigorate that further with some really ambitious growth plans for our brand,” Zeffer CEO Josh Townsend said.
“It’s great to have Lion on board to support us, with their unrivalled distribution network allowing us to unlock new avenues and bring our premium cider range to more people.”
Rory Glass, managing director of Lion NZ said Zeffer’s premium portfolio complements Lion NZ and is well aligned to support its on-going commitment to deliver the best brands and service to customers.
