Mars and Krispy Kreme introduce Maltesers Doughnut

A Maltesers doughnut is the latest collaborative creation to hit Krispy Kreme stores across Australia, after the brand partnered with FMCG giant Mars.

The limited edition product has been designed to mimic the flavour profile of the popular chocolate snack, using an original glazed doughnut dipped in milk chocolate ganache, topped with a piping of malted choc crème and three Maltesers.

Krispy Kreme’s food technologist, Tasha Kaur said the partners set out to create “the ultimate chocolate doughnut”.

“After plenty of product trials and taste testing, we’re thrilled to finally share our creation with the chocolate lovers of Australia,” she said.

Both brands have a strong history in confectionery having both launched in 1937.

“It’s been incredible to see the flavour profile of our delicious Maltesers being transformed in a new and exciting treat experience,” Mars marketing manager Nicole Villari said.

From Tuesday, all Krispy Kreme locations will stock the product and it will be available through 7-Eleven stores from Friday March 6. Customers can also order online through the doughnut store’s Click & Collect and through Uber Eats.
