Food company My Muscle Chef (MMC) has created new healthy Keto Bars as snacks for consumers on the go.
The plant-based health bars come in six flavours – Choc Chip Cookie Dough, Lemon & Coconut, Salted Caramel, Honeycomb, Choc Berry Crunch – Chewy and Choc Mint.
MMC co-founder Tushar Menon said the new lines continue the company’s expansion beyond meals into a wide variety of high-protein snacks.
“We are firm believers in health that doesn’t compromise on taste, and our new Keto Bars embody exactly that; fuelling you when you need a boost with a snacking range that is delicious and guilt-free,” said Menon.
According to CSIRO, the alternative proteins market is foreseen to grow at about 5 per cent a year, which is more than double the rate of 2.4 per cent for the whole food and agribusiness sector. MMC’s low carb Keto Bars contain over 10g of protein with healthy fats per bar that can make consumers feel fuller throughout the day.
“Snacking often gets a bad rap, especially when associated with unhealthy food choices to curb sugar cravings,” said Ryan Pinto, MMC head nutritionist and dietitian. “In actuality, it is vital we keep our bodies periodically fuelled throughout the day to maintain balanced blood sugar levels and perform to the best of our ability. Our new Keto Bars are a satiating, high protein energy source to maximise to mental clarity and performance at work, the gym or even just at home.”
The new plant-based Keto Bars are available online and in selected retail stores. A variety three-pack sells for RRP $9.95, snack pack (including four bars and two shakes) for RRP $19.95, and individual bars are priced at $3.95.
