Pasta maker San Remo has created a Performance pasta range it says is ideal for post workout, featuring high protein, low carb and vegan pastas such as San Remo Pasta Pro and San Remo Fibre Fest.

San Remo Pasta Pro has 37g of protein per serve while San Remo Fibre Fest has double the fibre content and both products have 25-per-cent less carbohydrates than regular pasta.

“We’ve created the new range to meet the various dietary and lifestyle needs of our customers, while still making sure they enjoy that quality and taste San Remo is known and loved for,” said Erik de Roos, chief marketing officer, San Remo.

The new vegan-friendly pasta is billed as helping Aussies reach their fitness goals and replenish muscles after exercising. San Remo worked with Australian TV personality and chiropractor, Tim Robards, on how Aussies can incorporate San Remo Pasta Pro in their workouts.

“We all know that protein plays an important role in a person’s diet, particularly when exercising, as it helps repair and rebuild the muscles for recovery,” said Robards, who touts the products as an alternative to protein shakes.

AFLW premiership player and AFL commentator, Abbey Holmes has joined the pasta maker as its Fibre Fest ambassador.

San Remo Performance Pasta range is sold at RRP $4.20 per 250 gram packet.
