San Remo’s newest brand, The Big Cheese, has launched a new microwaveable macaroni and cheese bowl product said to deliver great value, taste, and convenience.

The XL Mac and Cheese bowl is made with locally grown, 100 per cent Durum Wheat pasta with two cheese sachets – parmesan and cheddar – and is ready after three minutes of microwaving.

“We appreciate there is an XL-size hunger for Aussie-made comfort food among shoppers, and our Big Cheese delivers big, bold cheesy flavours mixed with top-quality pasta,” said James Askham-Levy, CMO at San Remo Macaroni Company.

He said the instant mac and cheese sector is worth an estimated $30 million nationwide, with sales growing by more than 10 per cent compared to last year.

“What makes The Big Cheese stand out, besides its size and presence on-shelf, is its superior taste, texture and ingredients,” Askham-Levy added.

The Big Cheese XL Mac and Cheese Bowl is sold through Coles, Woolworths, and independent grocers at RRP$3.
