Livwell reacts to healthy snacking trends with vegan option

Livwell reacts to healthy snacking trends with vegan option

Health food company Livwell has added a new flavour to its plant-based snack range Buckweaves. Cheezy Nooch, said the company, is a cheese-flavoured vegan alternative that delivers on an “incredibly moreish” taste.

Instead of traditional potatoes, Buckweaves are oven-baked snacks made with buckwheat, a whole grain that is a good source of fibre, protein, and carbohydrates.

According to the company, the Cheezy Nooch flavour is made with nutritional yeast which is cholesterol-free and high in protein. It also contains all nine essential amino acids, making it comparable to complete protein found in animal products.

As more consumers seek healthier snacking options, the health food company says it has been building its shelf presence by focusing on developing products with clean ingredients and added nutritional benefits.

Buckweaves is also available in three other flavours – Sweet Chilli, Salt and vinegar, and BBQ.
