Australian low-carb keto company Locako says its new collagen snack bars have been ranged by Woolworths.
The collaboration marks the company’s debut in a major supermarket chain, and a mainstream breakthrough in the health category.
Two products are available at Woolworths – the Locako Keto Collagen Snack Bar with two new flavours, chocolate hazelnut and chocolate caramel, and the Beauty Collagen Brownie Bite in berry white chocolate. All contain 4g of pasture-raised collagen and are dairy-free, gluten-free, low-carb, keto-friendly and have no added sugar.
Founded by Ally Mellor – a mum of two who was struggling to balance the deliciousness and nutrition in keto products – Locako considers itself a pioneer in the low-carb and keto market.
“After becoming the first Australian company to put collagen into snack bars a few years ago to now seeing Locako’s collagen bars at Woolworths is a major milestone and I’m so thrilled to be working with the supermarket to make healthy, low-sugar snacks more accessible,” said Ally Mellor.
“We’ve doubled production to meet the demands of a national scale-up and forecast our snack range will grow by 50 per cent off the back of the partnership,” she said.
The collagen bars have an RRP of $4.
