Australian-Fijian health and wellness company, Fiji Kava, is extending its partnership with Network Nutrition, a subsidiary of Dutch multinational IMCD. The agreement will now see Fijikava’s raw ingredients sold under Network Nutrition’s Kravaton supplement brand.

Fiji Kava manufactures and processes natural “noble kava”, a plant known to help reduce anxiety, promote relaxation, and improve sleep. The company offers a range of Kava-based products and supplements which are TGA and FDA compliant.

The collaborating companies said they are targetting expansion into new territories, including Australia, Canada, and Asean markets.

In addition, they will also develop new beverage-ready extracts and bulk premixes for beverages under its research and development projects, significantly simplifying Fiji Kava’s supply chain for manufacturing.

Dr Anthony Noble, CEO of Fiji Kava, said that Network Nutrition helped streamline most of their processes, resulting in significant savings for the company; and their partnership, which began in June last year, showed strong sales from the second to fourth quarters.

“The IMCD team’s intimacy with the product is key for unlocking incremental marketing opportunities and dramatically improved our scientific backing for the extract products,” said Noble.

”This is critical for attracting new B2B customers. To have a partner with such capabilities sets us up for faster growth and allows our team to focus on our supply chain and brand building.”

Noble added that the company would offer its Noble Kava line in beverage mixes and ready-to-drink formats in the US, leveraging IMCD’s ingredient sourcing, supply chain, and network expertise.

“Given the results seen with the work on Kavaton, I am confident we have the right partner,“ he concluded.
