Naked Life launches Betta Boba bubble-tea range

Melbourne-based start-up Naked Life has expanded into the bubble-tea category launching its Betta Boba range.

The range comes in four flavours: Original Milk, Brown Sugar, Peach, and Mango, and contains tapioca and coconut pearls.

The brand says its new offering targets students and is packed in RTD cans for convenience. As Boba Tea is originally from Taiwan, the brand hopes to get traction from Asian Australians.

Founder and CEO of Naked Life, David Andrew, said the bubble-tea category has grown “rapidly” with bubble tea shops being the fastest growing QSR outlet.

“However, given the often high sugar amounts in these drinks, we saw a need to bring a format that does not only taste great but contains 50 per cent less sugar.”

Research by Grandview says the global bubble tea market is expected to grow 8.9 per cent from 2020-2027 reaching US$4.25 billion by 2027.
