Red Bull launches Purple Acai version in its Editions range

Red Bull has released a new sugar-free drink variant in its Editions range featuring acai berries.

The Red Bull Edition range combines the energy drink with the tastes of specific fruit flavours such as Apricot-Strawberry, Tropical Fruits, Watermelon, Pomegranate, Dragonfruit and now Acai.

The brand says it aims to expand its flavour options in Australia given the mainstream popularity of acai berries in the country.

Last year, the company sold 9.8 billion cans worldwide registering an uptick of 24 per cent in sales growth.

The new flavour is now available across all major supermarkets, independents and convenience stores in 250ml cans.

Red Bull athletes such as Mick Fanning, Scotty James, Jess Fox, Toby Price and Rhiannan Iffland feature in a new video promoting the Purple Acai product.
