Neutrogena and 3D-printed supplement company Nourished have unveiled AI-generated, 3D-printed skincare gummies designed to make personalised skincare more accessible for consumers.
Dubbed Skinstacks, the innovation debuted at this week’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, US.
The customisation begins by using the brand’s existing Skin360 digital skin assessment technology, which claims to use over 100,000 skin pixels to analyse 2000 facial attributes and customers’ skin goals and needs, including clear skin, fine lines, wrinkles, smoothness, and radiance.
Afterwards, Skin360 recommends personalised gummy supplements based on the customer’s health goals – Ageless, Clear, Hydrate, Glow, or Resilient – with seven types of vitamins and nutrients, that were not disclosed.
Consumers are then redirected to the Nourished website, where they can customise their ‘flavour’ and complete the purchase. Each order is printed by Nourished on-demand to ensure freshness and shipped in 100 per cent plastic-free, home-compostable packaging.
“Working with Nourished allows us to further that commitment by marrying our award-winning digital skin assessment with Nourished elegant 3D printing technology to create on-demand dietary supplements to help consumers meet their personal skincare goals,” said Roberto Khoury, senior VP at Neutrogena.
A 28-day supply of personalised Skinstacks will sell for RRP US$49.99, delivered within 14 days of ordering.
